One of the most fabulous and fulfilling meals of all time! This is my favorite method.
One six ounce jar of whole mushrooms
1/4 cup of oil
1 tsp butter
Add a sprinkling of:
Basil with a swig of oregano rubbed between fingers to soften and release flavor
Two leaves chopped parsley
1 tsp salt
Saute for 15 minutes
Steaks (Cooked Medium)
Two room temperature ribeye boneless or strip steaks
Add 1/3 cup of oil and preheat the pan on medium/high
Season steaks with a little garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste or Mrs. Dash all in one seasoning.
For steaks 1″ thick or more, cook steaks for 6 minutes on each side. For steaks under 1″ thickness 4 minutes on each side, but be cautious because thin steaks cook quickly.
Of course, dessert comes next with some fresh apple turnovers and Italian cookies… I let the baker take care of that.
